Never Eat Alone (Book Review)
A solid yet easy read book!
Never Eat Alone
How
to Build a Lifelong Community of Colleagues, Contacts, Friends, and Mentors
Author: Keith Ferrazzi Publication : Crown Publishing/ Currency
Doubleday
“Your
network is your net worth”, they say. This simple message is conveyed
effectively by Keith in his lucid style. This is one business book which is
unlike other business books. With his fairy tale style, Keith reveals how successful
good communities thrive through networking. Yet, it is not another ‘marketing
mantra’ type books. It is something which we all can apply in every walk of
life- be it business, careers, learning, friendship, marriage, social work or mentoring.
Throughout this
book, he stresses upon the ethics of good networking. He also emphasizes on
self-less intentions as a base to any relationship. Values like honesty,
loyalty, generosity & hardwork are sprinkled across various sections of the
book. An easy read, this book will pave the way to how we relate with each
other & make each other successful.
Keith has been
honest to share his experiences - good & bad, to ensure that we do not
repeat those mistakes. This book indirectly talks about how we can nurture the
art of relationship building among our kids, friends & make better
communities. I would recommend everyone to read & apply the book, more so
by all the mid-level managers who can be a key to motivate the teams within the
organization by creating a better environment.
The books is available on Amazon & can be sourced through all leading book stores too.
